Seemed like there was a war going off for most of last night. I’m sure València did the whole firecracker thing again about midnight. Even at 7am this morning, there were intermittent explosions!
We knew we had to be out of the motorhome site by 11am – it was pointed out to us by Klaus (our name for him!) in his two page list of rules. In order to ensure this happened, he knocked on the door at 10:30….”You know you have to leave right?” Never had that happen before – nearly choked on my muesli! I can, of course, understand his eagerness to oust us when you see that his price doubles from today €10 per night is now €20. He should ‘get rich quick’ over the next few days! 🤣
The weather is looking good up to Wednesday, so we’d like to hang around, but all campsites are fully booked due to the fiesta.
The solution? Drive a mile up the road and park in the sand dunes like many others.
Walked along the beach towards El Palmar this morning ..as it warmed up, more and more people seemed to have forgotten their swimwear! Not just a nature reserve – more naturist methinks!
Tried to sit in the sun this afternoon but decided it wasn’t quite warm enough, so walked the opposite direction towards Valencia. This whole area if full of pinewoods, tracks, boardwalks and carparks – and it’s very easy to get lost.

Couldn’t find the van. 🙄We walked backwards and forwards along the beach and the tracks. Everything looked similar but different.
Luckily, at five minutes to wine it appeared. Think we’ll have to put a flag up or next time I’ll leave a trail of breadcrumbs just in cases. 🤣
