Think Guy was awake most of the night, opening and closing windows. It was mega hot but there was lots of lightening and it kept raining. We were up early – something to do with the time difference rather than any new found morning enthusiasm.🤣
Had a walk around Esquelbeqc…lovely little town with a chateau, which, unfortunately, was closed for repairs. Got a good view of a giant watering can through the railings though!
Heading towards Nancy, we decided to hold our breath and drive through Belgium and Luxembourg. This enabled us to save a fortune on tolls but meant driving all day, as we didn’t want to stay in either country at the moment.
It’s been incredibly hot, the van told us it was 39 at one point,- thank God for the air conditioning in the cab. At about 5:30pm, we ended up between Metz and Nancy and found this lovely parking at the marina in Pont-à-Mousson. Tried to have a little walk but the heat got the better of us. Thought it best to join everyone else, chairs out, feet up, wine bottle. 🍷
