073FD796-DFC8-4F18-A614-76D4E0A08494A bit of a trip round on the buses today – they’re cheap and very reliable it seems…so reliable that we missed the first one as it was bang on time! 😂
We went to Puerto Banus first to have a look at the yachts and see how the other half live. It’s all here, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Tom Ford…but we didn’t think much to the place really, to say it’s the playground of the super rich, including quite a few criminals by all accounts. It was quite funny that none of the boats were anywhere near the size of the one we got chance to look around in Vlissingen last year. The sand is surprisingly grey on this bit of coastline too, and after walking from one end to the other, we decided to get back on the bus and go in the other direction to Estepona. Was worth the trip for ‘dog of the day’ though!8F9EB5CF-1CEF-4E3B-8551-7C7543AC0B12841A120A-AAF4-4C70-AC53-93A2AF606511
There’s a nice old part of town in Estepona, just set back from the sea front. It’s very pretty, but it does feel like the home owners have been told what colour to paint their plant pots. We managed to get a sandwich here for probably a tenth of what we could have paid in Puerto Banus. Guy disappeared half way through his lunch as a bit of a parade went past on the seafront …he couldn’t really work out what it was all about though. I was far too focused on my sandwich to care!
Back at base, our noisy Spanish neighbours have upped and left …how we miss them! All we can hear now is the roar of the motorway – we’d much rather be listening to their chattering. 🙄
