We first had to retrace our steps back up through Casares then carried on up some very steep windy roads until we reached Cortes de la Frontera. We somehow ended up driving through the town centre – what a nightmare! There was much flinching and sharp intake of breaths, as we ducked balconies, kissed wing mirrors and avoided eye contact with the locals. On one of the steep roads out we discovered there’s a scraper bar underneath the van that protects the plastic stuff above it …lucky that!
Spectacular scenery through the forests of cork oaks with lots of warning signs saying that the road was in a bad state of repair…seen worse. We were thinking that in the uk they should warn you about the whole country’s roads before you enter! 😂 We saw some black pigs and then a load of escapee goats climbing up the rocks.
Came through Ubrique, which turned out to be the size of a city in the middle of nowhere, then finally landed here in Grazalema. 7D76A1C0-BC85-47C9-A6E4-5365155F4727
This is a really lovely town but the wind is blowing ferociously and it feels so cold. We’re parked on the outskirts with a great view and we’ve walked up to the top for some exercise. Watched a fab sunset but now the heating is going on!55988ADA-B823-4216-BA3C-BC59B779D82F
