Drove a bit further up the coast this morning on a long and winding road. We came to Syvota a couple of years ago to see Bella Vraka beach which is on an island that you can wade across to. Today we decided to walk the other way and followed a footpath up around the headland. There was a lovely clean pebble beach on the other side, with clear turquoise water.
Unprepared for swimming, we came back to the van for lunch and then returned in the afternoon for another hard day’s sunbathing. 🤣

There was a beach bar behind us with the accompanying sunbeds but we sat on the pebbles at the shore line. I heard a Dutch man introduce himself to the man who was lying on the next bed about a foot away…
“Hello neighbour, I thought I would introduce myself as we are so close, in fact we are practically family! My name is Hans and I am from Holland…”
It was really funny. The other bloke told him he was Greek.
“Ah, so you must be some kind of hero..”
“Yes, I am a God!” replied the man.
It’s great listening to other people’s conversation.
Did a big swim, then as the sunbeds emptied, we thought we’d try them out. Both felt weirdly uncomfortable – think we’re just not used to them. Liked the Aperol Spritz that arrived shortly afterwards though. 😉
Parked in a lovely car park full of olive trees between two quiet roads, quiet that is until 9pm when the motorbikes have arrived to do a few circuits!🙄
