It rained in the night and I had a minor panic as I thought our shoes were outside but luckily Guy had brought them in earlier.
We decided to walk into Palafrugell this morning as there’s always a good Sunday market on in the town centre …if you can find it, that is! We’ve been here countless times over the years, but still haven’t managed to find our way around it. Our plan this morning was to walk the opposite way to the people coming out of town with shopping bags. It worked!

The whole place is buzzing with people choosing the best fruit and vegetables from the stalls lining the street. The indoor meat and fish markets were also super busy.
We didn’t buy anything other than coffee and burnt croissants as we’d got about three miles to carry it back. It was nice to sit in the square though and watch all the comings and goings.
It was a bit overcast after lunch and we couldn’t decide what to do with ourselves, so ended up walking around the coastal path again to Llafranc. Quite a few people around to say it’s only March, but I think a lot of locals come to the here at weekends for a meal and a walk.

The campsite is filling up, and you can tell it’s the Easter holidays as there are now children around. It’s been pensioners all the way for the last ten weeks!!

To Market, to Market…24/3/24
