Bit of a driving day today. Wanted to get to Strasbourg and there wasn’t anything we particularly wanted to see between the two places. I drove us into Luxembourg – I actually hit 70mph at one point – think my co-pilot was secretly impressed. Unfortunately I’m still on a PDP for refusing to overtake downhill! We swapped over when the roads got technical i.e. more than one. There were no official motorhome parking places within 2 km of Strasbourg so we decided to drive straight in to the old town and chance our luck. Rufus would have made it in, but not walked round and back as well. Fortunately, we found roadside parking with a meter. I thought I understood it and did a contactless card payment but it didn’t say how much it was taking. I’ll wait with bated breath for the charge which could be up to 35 euros!!Strasbourg was amazing. Really old with timber framed houses and a huge cathedral. Walked around for a couple of hours in the sunshine then headed out towards Offenburg where we are camped at the equivalent of Lowdhams motorhomes!
