Back up the hill to the windmills this morning..just for a walk really. Lovely sunny day and even quite warm.
Short drive then to Valdepeñas, where there is good motorhome parking with services. After lunch, we walked onto the city centre. It was much further than I thought! Down a long straight road lined with bodegas and huge terracotta pots every 50 metres. It all looked quite promising, but when we reached the centre, really, there was nothing at all to see, which is most unusual for a Spanish city or town. Its only saving grace was a nice big square in the middle.
Still, we had a good walk in the sunshine and now at 9:30 sat listening to the thwack of the ball on the padel court apposite – I hope they turn the light’s off soon though!
