Well, it had to be done so that we could learn from it!! What was an uneventful day turned in to a near catastrophe đđđ.Staying put in Milfontes for a few days. Guy went for a bike ride this morning whilst âthe wifeâ got the washing done (they had machines – hooray!). Had lunch, then I went for a run so I can eat more crisps, nuts and olives tonight. Upon my return, Guy was at the campsite sinks washing the pots and the door to the motorhome was locked. He asked if Iâd taken the keys with me, to which my reply was âWhy would I?â. âThe doorâs openâ he said, unconvincingly. No – it was locked. I assumed that this was one of his Fire Service style jokes but it wasnât. Somehow, the door had decided to lock itself after he closed it. The keys were in my shorts pocket on the bed. As luck would have it the bedroom window was open with the blind down. Itâs a big window but it doesnât open very far and itâs a bit high off the ground. I offered to go in – being the smallest. âOk if you get on my shoulders….â he says. Felt dizzy just thinking about it đ€Ł. So, using his bike for a leg up, in went Guy! I must admit there was a point when I thought his very small posterior might not fit through, but he did it! Lesson learnt. Walked into the town about 4:30 – it was totally different. It had come to life with teenagers coming home from school and people out shopping – all with coats and scarves on acting like it was the middle of winter.âïž
