What to say about today? Not a lot really, it’s been one very long drive through what appeared to be a nuclear winter for the most part.
Nothing much to see on this route at all, which is a good thing as visibility was only a few metres at times.

There was a lot of sand in the air from the outset, but then it became overcast as well. Quite hot at 30°C, but also very windy, which was causing frequent dust devils.
Then, we got thunder and lightening and a few drops of rain – I think the only thing missing today was snow!

We knew it was going to be a long drag as we’d put ourselves on this southerly route with just a few odd towns like Tissint, Tata and Akka but it was the only obvious road to reach Guelmim where I’m to be traded in for a camel on Saturday.
We were very relieved to get to Icht as visibility was down to not much! A walled campsite feels like a prison but it really serves a purpose in this weather.
