Quiet night with an early start for a three hour drive on the motorways to Würzburg. These German roads, even the small ones, are soooo smooth compared to the UK. There’s no patchwork and zero potholes – amazing!

Passed the busy section around Frankfurt then landed by the River Main in Würzburg for lunch. It’s quite funny sat eating your crumpets when a Viking cruise ship moors alongside and rolls out the red carpet for its passengers! 😂
We walked into the town which wasn’t as spectacular as we remembered it, but, there was a wine festival on last time and the measures were huge! 🤣🍷

There was quite a crowd of people on the old bridge partaking of the local Franconian wine. We didn’t join in as we planned another hours driving late afternoon. We did get some from the nearest Lidl though. There was only one left on the shelf and they do stand out as the bottle is a squat round shape.

Did another hour or so driving towards Nuremberg but I managed to put us on a scenic route much to Guys disgust. Faster and shorter – nothing wrong with that, but he even had the audacity to liken the roads to farm tracks! 🙄

Parked up in a proper motorhome site this evening, with water, drain etc …all the gear – Friday treat! 🤣In a medieval looking old town called Cadolzburg and we’ve just been for a look around as it’s getting dark. Lots of half timbered houses, cobbled streets and city walls plus a Colditz-like castle.
We managed to get lost even though it’s tiny! Just one Indian restaurant open with one table of customers who looked like they’d come straight from our motorhome park! It’s a banging Friday night here in Cadolzburg. Happy Birthday to the Bro who is probably having a proper night out in Kimbo! 😬🍷🍺
