Fortunately the rain stopped for a while this afternoon, just as we landed in Regensburg.

Parked alongside the Danube which looked very full! Another Viking Cruise ship drifted past as we had our lunch …I think they are stalking us!

Regensburg is lovely. Quite a big city, with much of it dating back to the fourteenth century as it escaped destruction in the world wars. The buildings are very colourful – even without sunlight, and the Dom is one of the tallest we’ve seen anywhere, although the outside is being renovated, so under scaffold at the moment.

Plenty of dirndl skirts and lederhosen for sale in the shops – still not tempted! 🤣

Had to cross several bits of river to get back to the van, along the way we saw what we think our Knaus might look like in twenty years time.

Back on the motorway (making the most of the freebies before we hit Austria), Guy battled torrential rain and got us to Passau, which is right on the border.

After much deliberation, we decided to do the forty minute walk into the town tomorrow morning as the weather is meant to be better.
