Well, it seems like a cross between Serbia and Montenegro at the moment. First time we’ve managed to get insurance for this country so planned to cut through it on our way to Greece.
This morning we got up early for once and went into Kotor Town. We were thankfully there about twenty minutes before the cruise ship unloaded and filled the place up to breaking point. Our car-park man said that a few days ago it was total gridlock everywhere! Still a beautiful little town though and glad we came back.

On the way out, after the tunnel, we came across a roundabout that hadn’t actually been built yet!

Such chaos – who dares wins! 🤣More crazy driving around the ever expanding Budva, including overtaking in a tunnel! Such a beautiful coastline but looks like it’s turning into Blackpool.
Looking for somewhere to have lunch, we turned off for a nature reserve that never appeared. We ended up in some kind of dodgy estate with huge grandiose houses interspersed with fields of watermelons. Had to settle for a dirty lay-by full of rubbish.

The border was pretty straight forward – not a word spoken by any of the guards, just the odd grunt!
Coming in from the top of Lake Shkodra, it all looked a bit murky and grubby, thankfully we turned into the sanctuary of Lake Shkodra Resort on the recommendation of Steve and Catherine McGonnell.
A very nice welcome to a lovely campsite. Got two loads of washing done, but can’t find anywhere to walk and we certainly feel like we need it after many days driving.
Spectacular sunset over the lake and mountains tonight.
