Guy got up and walked a mile into town to try and see a doctor again and was redirected to another medical centre in Putignano. Eventually, on production of the ehic card, he got himself some antibiotics for his ear infection. Took about an hour which isn’t bad …considering. Drove on to Alberobello, a town famous for its many Trulli. These little round whitewashed buildings with conical shaped roofs are dotted around all over this part of Puglia. Almost every house has one attached or in the garden. It got really hot – 28 degrees. We had to leave Rufus in the van with the fan on. More stuff below the photos – decided to try and split them up!
We then went slightly off track to Martina Franca, another beautiful place with some lovely baroque buildings and piazzas. Whilst wandering around we stepped through an archway to hear an opera singer practicing from high above us – it felt like we were in a film.
As the afternoon got hotter we drove on to Locorotondo and then stopped again in Cisternino. Another white washed town with little alleyways and stunning architecture. Couldn’t find a decent place to stay so back in the motorhome and now we are in Ostuni. We can see the old town and it’s very tempting but think it can wait till tomorrow…enough for one day!

Alberobello and it’s Trulli, Martina Franca, Cisternino and finally Ostuni!
