Rain this morning ☹️…well, most of the day actually. Followed the main road towards Storuman, which was quite narrow, although it did have two lanes. Tried to do a short cut then, but the road turned out to be a rough gravel track so we had to do a u turn. B45AFA3B-CAE3-450E-858E-E4ECD8440DF1
Stopped by a lake (there are many!) for lunch and had a mini walk in the drizzle. Lots of mushrooms to be had if only we had the ‘edible or killers’ knowledge – best not risk it!AC0EEFF5-D9B1-47C6-8D31-281CC2DE4A24
Guy took himself off to the wooden hut ‘toalet’ and came back very impressed. “It’s a composting toilet..doesn’t smell, just a bit like sticking your head inside a bag of John Innes No3”😂🤔😂

Storuman didn’t seem to be much of a town so we carried on to Vilhelmina, which had one very nice street – the rest of it wasn’t great. Guy decided to take the opportunity to get a haircut – they’ve done a really good job – he looks like action man and it was only £32!!!!!Mum has offered to do him a perm and colour for £30 when he gets home! 😂😂😂0F23C7B5-2C9D-4C47-98D8-F6DD773EDD37
We passed Bergmans Fisk Smokery on the way out of town. It was recommended in the Lonely Planet guide, so we decided to give it a whirl. We had a plate of three different smoked fish with cauliflower purée and a couple of slices of pickled carrot…all very nice but the service was a bit dire. Think most of the staff had gone home, so no one came back to the table at all, once they’d bought our meal. Unfortunately, it didn’t really fill Guy who is now tucking into next weeks biscuit rations!713FEB68-C133-4DCE-AC52-41574418D1B2
