Forgot to mention yesterday, we were told that earlier in the year, an iceberg had floated down the fjord to the campsite we were on and took out the jetty!!😮😮😮
Had to get two ferries today in order to continue our route south. The first one was only about 15 minutes and then we arrived at the perfect time to board the next one (Jektvik to Kilboghavn), which was an hour long. We’ve taken to telling a white lie about the length of the vehicle …seems that if it’s under 7 metres it’s much cheaper. 🤭No one seems to have noticed that the length is written on the outside -“Welcome 728”! There was glorious sunshine on the second ferry and the deck had loads of plastic picnic chairs which were surprisingly just loose, so you could take your chair to the best spot. We crossed back over the Arctic Circle during the journey and the marker was pointed out to us over the tannoy.95FAFAFA-98EA-4D73-9ED7-26A996872F24
We followed the road round to Mo i Rana, at which point, the heavens opened. Mo’s best bit is the Anthony Gormley sculpture – Havmannen (Man of the Sea). Looked really impressive, but we didn’t fancy getting soaked for a closer look.2777009D-6A91-41CD-973F-3B99D4B874E8
Had a couple of bits to do. Pick up LPG, Diesel, and a bit of food, but the main thing was a new seal for the toilet cassette (important🤭). It was surprisingly inexpensive, thankfully. Drove on then, through the rain until we reached the Swedish border. We are planning to do the Wilderness Road for a change and then curve back in to Trondheim after a visit to a Swedish Lidl 👍👍👍🍾. Guy the plumber got his tool box out and effected an amazing repair on the cassette, so I rewarded him with some badly drained spaghetti, thus turning his spag bol into soup. 😬37AA09CC-B6C7-4346-A1CA-A41BCD6DFC42
