I think we might have to build an Ark! It rained none stop all night, with a bit of thunder thrown in for good measure. At least by morning it was the cleaner stuff coming down so it had made a start on washing the sand off.
We drove to the hypermarket at Antequera first, in search of a bottom sheet as the last tumble dryer ripped one of ours to shreds. Picked up a few other bits, then joined a huge queue for the checkouts. I then went into panic as I realised they were calling out which till number to go to and I couldn’t understand 😬 I could get one to ten but it just sounded like double dutch for the others. The pressure was on as I reached the front of the queue….number 17, lit up in front of me – thank the Lord! Then I realised I’d got Guy’s card and had to guess at the pin number – got it right, but by the time I came out I was considering cracking one of the bottles open for a quick recovery swig 😂🍷

Anyway, Antequera – a very nice sprawling white town. We are parked on the edge of it overlooking the Alcazaba, which we’ve had a wander around this afternoon. From the top of one of the towers you could see hundreds of tiled roofs – must be even more stunning on a sunny day.

Walked into the busy town. Lots of sweeping sand out of shop doorways taking place.

Out the other side to see the Dolmen of Menga – a megalithic burial mound but it had unfortunately closed early today. Back up the hill it was then, but seems our legs were not quite ready for the challenge.

Some fab pics of some gorgeous looking places, along with some laughs along the way.😆😆😆
Hi Catherine, hope you and Steve are ok. Just letting you know that I’ve run out of storage space on this WordPress account and we don’t really want to start paying £20 per month for more. 🙄Still trying to sort out a way around it, but for now I think Guy will just put the blog on Facebook. Still torrential rain here think you’re probably better off in bonny Scotland !xxx
