Well the campsite is certainly packed. We’ve got ‘Ray Winston’ next door – he’s set up for three weeks. We’re just hoping and praying that he’s done two and a half of them. If I hear one more ‘yeah, yeah, yeah’, we might have to move pitch.
Thursday morning, the bike came out of the garage, some Lycra appeared, and Guy set off to test his legs. I thought (hoped) I wouldn’t be able to find my running shoes, but there they were – looking at me!

There’s a nice flat track runs alongside the straight road to Palafrugell, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. Nice bit of breeze, but still when I arrived back at the campsite, the security man looked as if he was ready to call an ambulance for me. 🤣 Guy arrived shortly after in the same state – at least we tried!
Went to the nearest beach in the afternoon and both fell asleep.
Spent the evening listening to the sound of ring-pulls as ‘Ray’ got stuck into his lager stash and loudly bored everyone rigid with his opinion on everything.
Today (Friday), did a bit of much needed cleaning, then we walked round to Llafranc, where there’s a wider beach for swimming. Once again, it was packed.
Walked back around the coast – such a beautiful walk.
This evening, we’ve walked into the town to get some photos. Now we’re listening to ‘Ray’ talking about how ‘Claire’ Rayner has resigned! 🤣🤣🤣
