Woke up late again – it’s becoming a habit! We decided to walk in to Simuni by going along the road at the top of the campsite. It was very hot again and when we arrived there was nothing there – just a few houses. One with some rocks outside painted in Picasso style. Walked back along a coastal path only to find that the campsite was fenced off once we reached it. Luckily, there was a track to take us up to the road so it wasn’t quite the disaster we first thought. Had a game of Scrabble in the afternoon …I won by 2 points – just saying! 😉
We decided to go for a swim about 4pm after a frantic search for my sea shoes. There’s no sand here; I think that goes for most of Croatia, so you need something on your feet unless you are diving in ( What? and get my hair wet? Unlikely! 😂). That’s about it really, other than when walking to the dog beach later we discovered pitches numbered in the 4000’s, so even bigger than huge campsite!

Hi Janet-catching up on your blog as I’m sitting in a Swiss mountain top bar recuperating from a broken ankle. Your humour is cheering me up!
On second day of what was supposed to be our mountain bike holiday of a lifetime I came off my bike bit awkwardly -ended with great helicopter lift to hospital! Surgery done now resting and trying not to sob as I see the group going off on their bikes into these stunning mountains. Ah well head and other limbs in tact-could be worse. Keep blogging
