The fact is, those Musk Oxen could appear this morning – worth another march back up the mountain? Seemed a good idea, until the wind started to do its best to blow us over. By the time we got up to the hut again our ears were ringing. No fire today either – there’s loads of wood in the store but no matches. It was a much clearer day but still no sign of them. I think they’re probably on holiday in Palafrugell, drinking Sangria in the sunshine!
We are making our way towards Kristiansund now to go south down the Atlantic Highway. This afternoon, we de-toured off the main road to try and find some (more) waterfalls. First, we went up the wrong road, which was hair raising enough for me, but the right road wasn’t much better. Perfectly safe according to the driver. He saw a 4×4 motorhome this morning and was quite excited about the idea…Lord help me!!!

We’ve ended up at Åmotan, where seven rivers meet. Three of them form spectacular waterfalls. Two of them were fairly easy to reach on foot. The third was very uphill and I’d thankfully volunteered to come back and make dinner. Guy is now struggling to stand up, never mind walk! 🙄😬
