El Barrr Minervois (Siran)

Here we are again in Siran, doesn’t seem like over a year since we were last here. The vin rouge and rose tastes the same but quiz night down at el Baro is a new addition to the social week. Sadly we ended up joint last of 5 teams despite our best efforts and some dubious marking!! How the dog got hold of our paper for marking I’ll never know.
Disappointed with our result we retreated back to Maison Martinscroft for our supper which was a delightful Fish stew prepared by Mr Guy followed by Manchego with ‘membrillo’. The day, however, started with a visit to Minerve which enabled us to walk the riverbed (see if you can see the lady in red) followed by a short to trip to Siran and the welcome sight of Bar Minervois and Rue L’Eglise. It’s got quite late now (11pm Local time) so I’ll sign off as guest editorial and wish you Bon voyage. Sorry, forgot you’re back with us again tomorrow!!(Guest Ed – Karl Martinscroft)
