We’ve been to all these places today with the name ‘Minervois’ in and now I’m so confused I don’t know where I am! (No change there I hear you say!)
Firstly we decided to drive further up into the town at Fitou to see if we’d missed anything. As usual, the streets got narrower, but then we got stuck behind a giant digger thing. After five minutes, the man waved us through but we didn’t think we’d fit. We both breathed in and just managed to get by, only to find it was the same road to get out. 04982254-D222-4438-82C0-A9EF5A90C11B
In the end we did a few country track type roads – definitely the long way round back to the motorway. A poor bird flew into the side of the van enroute causing an almighty bang. Just a feather mark on the side but think it will be dreaded deaded. 😢Google maps then took us the daftest route to our first stop Bize-Minervois. We followed it up with Rieux-Minervois, Peyriac -Minervois, Caunes -Minervois, finally landing here in Villeneuve-Minervois. All lovely places, but think everyone was asleep this afternoon as the weather wasn’t great.0490DB38-7784-475C-BF5E-1FFEA725B6B0 There did seem to be a bit of a classic car rally thing going off. A beautiful blue 1955 Cadillac parked at the side of us at one point.85ABE3CD-E3BB-48FF-8276-8B22C8054464
Most cafes and restaurants were closed but they need to watch out for cat burglars 😂
