First picture is one from the Nature Reserve yesterday which Guy forgot to add.

He said it was closed. We tried to walk to it anyway and at least got to a point where we had a good view of it.
Drove inland then to Fermata Segesta to see the temple which was built before 430BC and amphitheatre. Had to park the motorhome and then get a shuttle bus up to see it. I decided to stay with Rufus …it was way too hot for him and I was feeling a bit ‘templed out’ after Agrigento. Glad I did, as Guy walked the 1.5km up a steep hill between the two things and as usual we’d timed it perfectly for the hottest part of the day.
Back down to the coast and now we’re at a really nice campsite by the sea in Castellammare del Golfo. One load of washing out and a bit of cleaning and hoovering done. Decided to walk in to town as it was getting dark.It was supposedly 20 mins walk to the cash machine but Rufus gave up at 13 minutes!! Had to run ahead whilst Guy waited with him. Still, being out in the dark was a novelty for all and at least Rufus can say he’s been ‘out’ out!! (That’s what our boys call it when they go clubbing and don’t reappear till breakfast time!)
