Not much to write home about today. Woke up to big rain but decided to do the woodland walk once it eased off. Lots of different paths – mostly slippery boardwalks, through the woods. Think the idea was that you can see deer and/or eagles and other wildlife.

I think they’d all stayed inside drinking coffee and keeping dry – like we should’ve done! 😂

Came back and made soup for a bit of light entertainment then set off for the port at Tarbert. We were hours early for the ferry but the tiny Main Street was gridlocked as the ferry company wasn’t letting any cars and vans through until they saw fit! Cars and caravans were abandoned in the street.

We went off to look around the gin distillery shop. All bottles £40 each but no chance of trying it first unless you go on the tour, which was booked up! Couldn’t bring ourselves to buy something we hadn’t tasted.

Saw the line of cars moving out of the window and did the walk of shame to get back in the one stationary motorhome blocking the road. 😂

The 90 minute crossing went really quickly as we filled the time drinking chocolattes and eating big cake slices – not our best idea 🤢

Drove straight down to the Sligachan Hotel where we parked last week. Can’t believe how busy the road is compared to the ones on Lewis and Harris!
