Followed the river south for a few miles this morning and then had a little wander around Bacharach. Very nice old town with lots of watchtowers and quirky buildings. One of them had a definite lean to it! Not many people about really, which we find quite surprising for August. It is a bit cool though when the sun goes in – had to put a jumper on today …first time in months. Rufus had a walk by the river and then we set off south towards Worms! Along the way, we had to stop and wait for about 150 rollerblading people who were following the Rhine up to Koblenz. They were set to do about 80 miles!! Police escort and everything – like a bike race 😁A2551CBF-0B4F-4057-8150-52AB1EAEFB25 2CD1994E-E47F-4A1B-86E8-7D1F356E0186East then, to a little town called Lorsch. Parked on a motorhome site 10 euros – nice and quiet. Walked into the town for Kaffee und Kuchen. There’s a tiny little abbey which is a UNESCO site and a few outdoor cafes. Tomorrow, the Tour of Germany bike race will be here so no doubt all the madness will arrive in the night!
