Well, excuse any spelling mistakes or bad grammar. Walked into Lorsch this morning – a complete change from yesterday as the team buses and crowds rolled in for the final stage of the Tour of Germany 🇩🇪. We came to say ‘hello’ to James Shaw – a lad that Callum used to race with, who now rides for Lotto Soudal. When he got off the bus, he got swamped by people asking for autographs. Good job Guy was there though …someone needed to point out that his saddle wasn’t on straight!! Fab life he’s got, but always with the uncertainty of whether he’ll be signed up for next year. After watching the start, we drove to Heidelberg. Lots of people there from cruise ships. Beautiful place, with a huge ruined castle and magnificent views over the river. Parked for a couple of hours – Guy informed me that the car park attendants name was Willy Trump….( I don’t know, will he?😂). Drove on to Wurzburg- the start of the famous Romantisch Strasse (Romantic road – full of castles). Parked up for €2, had dinner, then walked into the town. There’s a wine festival on ..oh dear! We have a couple of glasses – they’re huge, but not as huge as some of the wine tasters around us!😂 ‘Lesh have another’ says Guy, ‘Where’s Heidi?’ Think he meant the waitress…at this point my head is in my hands. Tomorrow it’ll be in the First Aid box looking for Ibuprofen!
