Grim in Nordmela

A very late get up caused by a certain person reading at 5am 🙄! He says I woke him up by shouting ‘Guy!’ – obviously not true.
It was grey, windy and raining – yuk! Yes, yes, I know about England’s heatwave 😉🏖…and France’s 🇫🇷 for that matter!
Nothing for it but to drive on. Carrying on north up Hinnoya, we then crossed a bridge to the island of Andøya and over to the west coast, as it’s meant to be more scenic.
Stopped for lunch at a picnic area near a lighthouse. The toilets here are famed for their fabulous views – the front of the building is mirrored glass on the outside so you can look out at the scenery whilst having a wee! They were locked today. 😢.
We made soup out of the last of the potatoes and some carrots and onions – it was great with a ‘take n bake’😀 Then, we went for a walk over the rocks and up to the lighthouse. Cloudberries are growing everywhere amongst the springy grass and rocks, but sadly not ripe yet.
Drove on a bit further to Nordmela and parked up facing the sea. Still drizzling, but we had a walk on the beach.
Tucked up now, having a game of Scrabble…well, I don’t think Michael Isaac’s or Ritzy’s is open!
