Well, I think this has been our last day by the sea – certainly by any sea with warmth in it.
Another load of washing done with half of it left behind by mistake as usual. Had a couple of hours on the beach – it’s been about 22c so just warm enough. I went in for a swim and it was fairly warm …until I got out, that is! Guy did a big snore 💤
This evening, we walked up to Cervo again for an aperitivo then back to the beach, to a fish restaurant we came to a couple of years ago. The waiter told us to put our masks on to walk through to the table as the Italian government has announced that from today, there will be a €400 fine for anyone who doesn’t wear the mascherina in the street !!
We had a plate of mixed fish each- big prawns, sea bream and scampi with a plate of vegetables. Trouble was, despite the bread, ‘he was still hungry’!! So Guy had his ‘primo piatti ‘ after his ‘secondo piatti’ – namely, spaghetti with clams. After a dessert each and some Limoncello, at least I know I’ve had three of my ‘five a day’ again. Orange in the Aperol, grapes in the wine and lemon in the ‘cello 🤣🤣🤣🕺
