Well, it turns out some cyclists from Nottingham were staying in Girona so Mr Bramley thought he might do one last ride while he’s here! They met in the famous ‘La Fabrica’ then did 5318feet of climbing in 60 miles. He was supposed to meet me in town early afternoon, but I’d been there, done that, and got the photos by the time the sweat soaked wreck turned up! Love Girona – especially the bridges and the colourful houses along the River Onya. We walked back in later on, so I’ve clocked up a good few miles on foot (without sweating 😅).
Late afternoon, we decided to head for France …as you do! Zoomed up the motorway past La Jonquera – obligatory terracotta pot stop in days of old! Then on to Elne, where, if you can find it, there’s this brilliant little motorhome stop that’s more like a campsite with big grassy pitches and electricity. In typical French fashion, you have to first purchase a card for access by typing in your name, rank and serial number, followed by your blood group. Then once your card has been issued, use it to put in the next machine to open the barrier!…..Errrr – why not just pay on exit?😂
Happy Birthday to Big Brother …18 Again!!!

M..M..M..My Girona! (Had to be done 😂 – The Knack 1979)
