Bit of a lazy morning faffing around with washing and cleaning. It’s kind of warm but not quite sit and bask weather.

The washing machine is just a normal domestic one here, so it goes for hours on every wash, which is great if you manage to get a turn, but not so great if you’re waiting to use it. Managed to get one lot done and on the line, then we set off to walk into Orebić.

A two mile trek; it would be lovely if there was a nice path along the beach but we had to go along the road for half of it and there’s not a lot of pavement stuff going on. There’s a bit of a concrete walkway then that takes you into the little town.

Apart from a few locals, there was no one around really. We had a drink in a little bar overlooking the harbour, where a few ferry workers were having a pre-shift coffee. The local sausage dog seemed to be in charge, greeting everyone that came past and seeing off any other canines.

As the sun starts to set, people seem to appear from nowhere in Croatia. It seems to be an evening ritual with them, and no wonder! Its nearly always a spectacular display of pink and orange.

Walking back it seemed to get dark very quickly – good job one of us has a white jacket although I don’t think it would suit Guy really.

Happy Birthday again Jordan! 26 years – where did they go?
