Turned South today towards Burgos. The landscape went from lush green to vast dusty plains within an hour. We stopped in Burgos for lunch – really nice city with a lot of green spaces and stunning cathedral which was later bettered by the one in Salamanca. After Burgos the flat roads of nothingness went on forever only punctuated by dirty dusty service stations selling fags,condoms and Red Bull. That’s all fine if you’re a trucker but we fancied a nice coffee and a pastry 😥. We’re now parked in a church car park in the middle of Salamanca thanks to Camper Contact. Bit scary driving in but been well worth it …it’s amazing. Tried to go out for a meal with Rufus – not easy. He barked all the way through it – think they were glad when we asked for the bill.
