Last night we’d driven into a carpark but there was no-one around to pay. A Swedish couple in a motorhome had paid £10 ish and had been told they could stay overnight. With this bit of information, Guy thought it prudent that we get up just before 7am and drive somewhere else nearby for our morning coffee! He did forget however, the wife’s coffee first policy! ☹️😖😩😴Dragged myself to the front seat still in jamas and before we knew it we were on a motorway. Service station espresso and stale croissant later – I was just starting to wake up, when we turned into the Paklenica National Park. Popular with climbers and hikers and people generally more awake than me! Another coffee, trainers on, and off we went following everyone else up a steep path. After an hour we finally asked where it lead to and got told it was another hour to the top! We carried on a bit longer then decided we’d better turn around as it would be too long to leave Rufus. Coming down seemed to take longer than going up …I discovered my running shoes are no good whatsoever on slippery rocks – especially with my Bambi legs!! There were loads of people scaling great heights on bits of string (including children) & I couldn’t even walk down a rocky path. 🙄 After lunch, we drove back up the coast to Karlobag which was much further than we anticipated. This is where we first hit the coast in Croatia four weeks ago. Got our favourite spot on the quayside, watched the sun set and now the Bura is just beginning. Hope it’s not as strong as last time we were here.87C65C27-9275-43B3-9084-DB7C5FAC74C5
