Wow, this is some place! It’s very beautiful, has everything, but is jam packed with holidaymakers (with good reason)- even at the end of September!

It took less than an hour to get here this morning, after we’d mopped up up all the rain from the vents we’d left open in the night. 🙄
Picked the wrong route so we had to drive through the middle of Parga town – always causes a few stand and stare moments for the pedestrians. We’ve come to Camping Valtos so that we could be close to the town as I don’t think there’ll be any easy overnight parking.

Nice campsite, other than an obnoxious couple in the corner who have placed a plastic crate in the pitch next to them so that no one parks there 🙄😂Guy asked if the pitch was free and they said “There are other ones available”!! Don’t want to be next to them anyway …even if it is sunnier over there.
Got yet more washing done then set off to see the town. To get there, we walked along Valtos Beach which was totally covered in sunbeds – a bit like Italy. Then up to the castle with stunning views over the little islands. Down the other side was a warren of narrow streets with little shops, then we were on to Parga sea front itself. Sooo many people – it was as busy as Athens! The houses and town rising up the hill were so colourful and all the bars and restaurants still looked like they were doing a roaring trade.

At the other end of the town behind a rocky promontory was yet another little cove with pebble beach and islands to look out at.
Hot and bothered by this point we made our way back, got changed and went for a swim. Well, I say swim – it was more of a battle with the waves for me. I was trying to get in gradually as the water felt a bit cold but I kept getting knocked down like a skittle! Someone’s got to provide the afternoon’s entertainment I suppose!
