Plomin Luka – A Night at the Power Station 🙄

Multi-centre day starting in Krk Town on the other side of the island. We weren’t expecting much as we hadn’t read any rave reviews about it. Quite pleasantly surprised…lovely vibrant little town with narrow cobbled streets. On the way out we met a donkey in the middle of the road – as you do! Makes a change from Guy’s ass being in the way 😉. Drove back over the bridge to the mainland – no charge, hurrah! Round the coast towards Rijeka, which looked a bit of a dump so we gave it a miss and carried on to the Opatija riviera. First stop, the hilltop town of Kastav for what should have been a spectacular view. Too misty today, unfortunately. Back down the hill to Opatija, looking for somewhere to park for lunch. Completely different kind of place, huge villas and grand hotels everywhere. Very picturesque and had quite an Italian feel to it, but absolutely nowhere to park. ‘No motorhome’ signs in all the lay-by’s too. Carried on to Lovran, same again. Really wanted to have a look around but clearly, scruffy motorhomies not welcome! ☹️ Carried on and turned inland at the side of a river, where I saw a beach sign. There’s a huge parking area but unfortunately, we are right next to a big power station. Different view – makes a change 😂 Loads of big fishing boats too, could be a noisy night/morning.
