All these place names are missing some vowels – I have to keep double checking them! Got up late this morning. Did a bit of cleaning and thankfully the washing had dried, despite the rain. There were lots of flies around driving us mad …not sure if it’s the weather or the area. The campsite reception had been shut since lunchtime yesterday and we wanted to leave before the checkout time of 1pm. We had wanted to pay by card, but in the end had to resort to putting a sandwich bag containing our bill and the money through the letterbox! Had to give them a mixture of kuna and euros, but if they’re not there to be paid I shouldn’t think it’s an issue – we could have just driven off! Only took us about twenty minutes to reach the town of Vrbnik.
Clinging to a hill side, it’s quite a pretty little place and we found an empty carpark on a headland – perfect.
Meandered through the town and tried the local white wine – didn’t buy though as it was quite expensive. Saw a giant grasshopper thing which Guy got a good photo of. Idled about for the rest of the day.
