Well, we’ve made it back to the other side of Italy. Couldn’t decide which campsite to go for. The Acsi discounted ones were a long way out of town and we need to be here for two days to get the washing done.

The first place we drove up a steep hill to, looked closed, but it could’ve been just their lunchtime. We couldn’t hang around till 3pm on a very steep slope – the handbrake can’t be trusted that much! Back down into the town, we tried a small rustic campsite close to beach and town. Again, closed for lunch, and there was already a van queuing up in front of us. Nowhere to turn around, so we stayed in the queue and had lunch!

Very friendly owner showed us around. Parked up and got the washing on. Biggest washing machine ever …if it was hot and sunny I’d give the duvet a blast! No suitable place for a clothes line though, so it’s all on the flimsy airer thing.

Guy has a bad back and decided to lie flat for a few hours. He then took himself off for a shower and came back to report that he’d shared it with a leech! 🙄 I’ll be using this nice clean one in the van!

No photos as the cameraman is out of action so you’ll have to enjoy a photo of our travel companion in spirit. No doubt, up there stealing sandwiches!

    1. Mmm yes – we do miss him! Our little vacuum cleaner that we use in the van still smells of him. Pretty bad really but it gives us a Rufus fix 😂
Ps we thought Jojo Rabbit was weird too but good film x
