That was a bit of a noisy night! Not sure what was happening in the town but it sounded like a wild party until about 5am.
Dragged ourselves up and out to get the bus into Seville. It wasn’t too bad, took about 50 minutes for the grand total of €1:75!
We walked over to the Plaza de la Encarnación first as that was nearest. The Metropol Parasol there is one of the largest bonded wooden structures in the world and it is stunning. It’s only been around since 2011 and has completely revamped the area – certainly something totally different to look at and walk up!

We have been in the cathedral and up the Giralda tower on previous visits, so thought we’d do the Alcázar today – bit daft really, to think we’d just walk in, considering it was a very busy Saturday. No tickets left! Totally booked up. Still, I suppose it gives us something to come back for another time.
Ended up just wandering around really, it’s such a lovely city, full of people eating and drinking and generally enjoying themselves.

Guy even managed to get a bit of wedding photography practice in as a very fancily dressed party spilled out of the cathedral.
We walked a little further out through the Maria Luisa park to the elegant Plaza de España and saw a bit of Flamenco and a few boats rowing around the canal.

Back in the old town, after a big search for a free table, we managed to sit down and have a drink. The staff were so busy, the poor family next to us, had a bottle of wine without glasses and then dinner without cutlery! They asked three different waiters and they all forgot 😂…it was manic.

A bit of street art then, just around the corner. An amazing gymnast – how on earth can he turn himself upside down over concrete (and a young girl)!

Got to the bus station to find there was no bus for an hour and a half 🙄 – think we must have just missed one. Dark by the time we got back – very unusual for us!
