More wiggly mountain roads this morning leading us south towards Udine where it got hotter and hotter.
Didn’t even get out of the van at lunchtime ..I think we would have fried. Guy sat with the cab door open which of course has no insect mesh over it. Two miles down the road, a big long legged critter appeared inside the windscreen. I nearly had a meltdown – had to hoover it up while Guy was still trying to drive 😬
Strange thing is, we’d just remarked on the lack of insects and birds this trip – now there’s one less. 😳
Around the back of Trieste, we did a convoluted route and ended up in Slovenia quicker than expected.
We pulled into a camper stop thinking we’d need electricity for a fan this evening. Just parked up when the heavens opened making it a little cooler and fresher anyway.
Went for a walk once it dried up but there’s absolutely nothing here! We thought we were in a town – it looks like a town, but it’s just houses!
