Had the best night’s sleep in months last night and didn’t wake up till 9am! This was quite surprising as our Italian neighbour did a full on spring clean of all his lockers and levelled his van up at midnight 🤣
Just about to have breakfast when I saw a man patrolling the car park with a clipboard – time for a sharp exit! It was only a five minute drive to Lidl and I think, the first time I’ve been shopping whilst still sporting blanket lines on my face and arms!
On the toll-free roads through the mountains, we headed east towards San Candido Innichen then south to Sesto skirting along the back of the Tre Cime. We love the Dolomites – they seem to have razor sharp ridges compared to other mountain ranges.
Had a little walk in the town and then carried on south with the van-nav trying to put us on ridiculous routes.
Parked up in Sappada by a lovely river with scores of other motorhomes. The aire itself is also choc full, but we are all out of the way and some distance from the town itself. There are tracks and trails going in every direction so we got the rest of our steps in.
