Raining this morning ‘quelle surprise!’ 😬After picking up the walking pole, we drove a few short miles to the smallest city – St Davids.
We paid to walk around the ruins of the Bishop’s Palace, mainly to shelter from the weather. Then, we went in to the cathedral, which made us both feel a bit weird. You could see that the walls weren’t straight but we were told that the floor difference was fifteen feet from front to rear.
Avoided buying pasties by a very narrow margin on the way back up the hill. Long queues saved us from another inch on the waistline. Just having lunch back in the van when one of Guy’s cycling friends popped up next door. Small world this year ..everyone’s in the UK.
Blue Lagoon next. A former quarry turned vivid coloured pool right next to the sea. The sun shone for about an hour and lit up the huge waves coming in on the adjacent Abereiddy beach.

We walked up on to the headland overlooking the lagoon and watched the supervised jumping in from high rocks. An entertainment in itself.

Walking back up the hill to the van, the rain started again, and we drove through what seemed like thick fog at times, all the way up to Fishguard. Big free car park for the night, just have to make sure we don’t get in the lane for the ferry in the morning. 😬
