Had a look around the cave houses at the back of the parking this morning. Last night they were lit up in ever changing colours – not sure why, it just made them look a bit weird. We were quite surprised to be able to walk right inside them and even more surprised that they weren’t covered in graffiti and didn’t smell of wee! 🤣 Some of them were three rooms deep into the cliff face and defo more spacious than a motorhome. An en-suite bathroom would’ve sealed the deal for me, but sadly, not to be!

Walked a small loop into the Bardenas park but had to give up on the footpaths as they kept disappearing to nothing.
Drove on to the town of Tarazona this afternoon, where there’s flat spacious, parking with motorhome services. At 15° I was almost tempted to go for the thin jacket, but when you see the locals wrapped up, it’s only right to fit in.
Beautiful old town in the upper quarters with a stunning sixteenth century town hall. Lots of Moorish towers and a fine cathedral in the lower town.

Between 2pm and 4pm there was hardly a soul around (think they were all siesta-ing), so we sat on a bench and waited for the cathedral to open. Another beautiful building with stunning ceilings but had to get back outside to warm up!
