Well, we were going to stay put today, but ended up driving quite a long way in the end. Last night we had an amazing meal overlooking the beach – the best sea bass ever. Rufus was within barking distance so we didn’t need a baby sitter either! We had a good spot in a car park, but this morning we quickly realised we were hemmed in. All the Italians came to the beach for the day, it being a Saturday. The car park was really dusty, and all the cars and scooters coming in and out were creating clouds of the stuff. Too hot to go to the beach and the hill behind us too steep for a bike ride. We set off down the coast but used the motorway. We pulled in at one resort but didn’t like it and the whole of the coastline seemed a bit flat and boring. We had to stop somewhere, so in the end we’ve pulled in at a Camperstop place just below Termoli …it’s not very picturesque but it will do for the night. Tomorrow we should be in to Puglia and the very friendly campsite owner (20 minutes speaking very fast ,animated Italian to Guy!😂)has given us lots of recommendations on places we should see.
