It’s been a driving day today through the gorges.

We drove firstly up to the Pointe Sublime where there was a great viewpoint to look down into the gorge. Then we came back on ourselves a bit so that we could join up with the road that follows the southern rim – the Corniche Sublime as it’s aptly named.
We stopped for lunch with a view at the little village of Trigance. It’s boulangerie acted like a magnet to the two slightly hungry travellers passing through. Bread, cheese and fresh figs for lunch…again! No WiFi here, but one house had the answer hanging on its front door!
The afternoon was spent driving along a shelf of a road, looking down into the abyss below, wondering what was coming around the corner and whether we’d fit underneath the overhanging rocks without scraping our roof!
We hopped out for a look at various viewpoints with Guy once again remarking that he didn’t like heights much! 🙄
After crossing a huge blue lake ‘Lac de Sainte-Croix’ we’ve ended up just outside the little town of Moustiers-Ste-Marie…and guess what? It’s got a little chapel perched high up on the rocks to walk to! 😬
