We left the eco camp mid afternoon after the cyclist had got a few hills in. Getting out was just as hair raising as it was getting in …I have no idea how some of the caravans and trailers etc managed to get around that place.
Took the coastal road, hoping to have a look at Burgau but still no parking there. Praia de Luz has two ACSI campsites – one was all singing, all dancing 🕺, indoor pool etc – we thought we’d give it a whirl. No chance! Booked up apart from one small space – really surprised. Drove on to the other, which is cheaper and seems really nice, if a bit full of ‘proper’pensioners on a Rotary Club trip.
Walked down to the beach; took about half an hour, but no pavement so had to walk in the ditch for most of the way. Nice seafront but nothing compared to the West coast.

Think probably the weather is milder here in the south though -there are definitely a lot of English people hibernating over winter. Uh oh – can hear them all coming back from the bar now…and they’ve been on the ‘shorts’! 😂
