The Bura wasn’t too bad last night – at least we were still on dry land when we woke up! Drove up the coast for a bit and found a Lidl (where we should’ve shopped yesterday!) Picked up some more bits to keep us going. By this time, miraculously, the leisure battery had virtually re-charged. We think the van just needed a long straight drive to give it some oomph again. Drove on to the island of Krk via an arched bridge which I failed to capture in focus on camera ☹️. We then carried on down to the bottom of the island to Baska – just to give the motorhome a good run really. We had a campsite planned, and drove in to find it completely deserted. Huge place, with just a few workmen in it which was why the gate was open. We were told by the owner to try next door where there’s a little autocamp. This’ll do for us. Got some washing done then it started to rain ☔️. We walked out onto the beach – what a stunning place! EF97984C-4C85-446E-96B9-36E0D8137D0FIt must be rammed in the summer as there are scores of bars, restaurants and shops all closed for winter. There are a few places open with mainly locals in …it must be very ‘all or nothing’ for them. Walked round the headland after we’d taken Rufus a scamper – all he wants to do is sleep at the minute. The weather is definitely a bit more autumnal up here but the sun is still trying it’s best to get through.
