..Or a big pointy rock in the middle of a load of others!

Good sleep last night meant we were actually up and driving before ‘Popmaster’ except it was a Sunday – such disappoint 😂. Called in at Lealt viewpoint to see a big brown waterfall. It had rained lots in the night so there was a bit more to come down.

Down the road a bit further, then managed to park about a mile away from the start of the walk. Packed up the sandwiches as it was still pre-lunch (such achievement 😆) and set off to see the Old Man of Storr.

Brilliant walk with steps up to the higher ground then paths leading off in all directions around the rocks. Amazing scenery- really like something out of Lord of the Rings. We spent about five hours wandering around between the rocks and it was almost sunny at one point.

Back to the van, and after lots of three point turns we managed to get close enough to the service point to fill up with water. Then, as there was ‘No overnight parking’ again, had to come back up the road to Kilt Rock again so we could park for the night. There was a bonus though, in a beautiful pink sunset over the mainland.
