A quiet night by the river Main in Wurzburg last night, although when we took the blinds down this morning, a huge cruise ship had moored right next to us! Rufus had a lovely walk in the ringspark at the back of us – not just a ring road in Germany – they have a park all the way round as well!! Walked back in to Wurzburg to see it in the daytime. Lovely place but €2.50 for half a loaf of bread was a bit steep …think it must’ve been designer stuff! Left before lunch as we needed to fill up with water etc. Drove to Tauberbischofsheim. Managed to park but no services. Had a walk around ..the bells on the outside of the townhall went mad at 3 o’clock.
Had our lunch and drove on towards some other town for services which didn’t exist – we ended up on a farm track in the middle of nowhere! Then the same thing happened again and I nearly had a sense of humour failure with the‘search for sites’ app.
Creglingen was ok but no one around so lacked atmosphere. In the end we’ve made it to Rothenburg, which we will explore tomorrow. Finally got water after a fight with the machine – had to shake it to make the coin drop in! Rufus tired but walking a little further every day – it’s miraculous!
