We were going to stay in town and go up the Trollstigen road tomorrow when there’s meant to be better weather, but there really wasn’t anything to keep us there so we moved on.3C2DBD09-2E72-4A06-9B41-540827BFC97B
I really thought the Trollstigen was going to be another one out of Guy’s “Ridiculous Drives to Scare the Wife “ book, but actually, it was brilliant! I reckon I could have got us round those hairpins even with a coach or two coming the opposite way 🤣🤣🤣! This road was just spectacular all the way up; huge mountains, waterfalls everywhere, and plenty of pull-ins for proper photo opportunities. There was a visitor centre at the top which was rammed with tourists, but no wonder – there were walkways and viewpoints hanging over the edge – really well done. We’d read that the coaches stop going up mid August but there were still plenty around.67E5C417-FD15-419C-9581-F6B4D27B2AC1
The road down was just as good in a different sort of way…complete wilderness until we got quite far down it. We’ve pulled in at an amazing waterfall that isn’t even mentioned in any of our guide books. It beats the ones in Sweden hands down. Tucked up in the corner of the car park now and hoping we don’t wake up to find ourselves completely boxed in. ‘I can think of a lot worse places to be…’65F45C47-0AB3-425E-9AB3-5962C11F14503C1F4D9E-A5FF-47F3-9E29-E881235B07B6
