After a night of torrential rain, we made the rather rash decision to head back to Spain! More of a security thing than the weather (which just follows us anyway!). With all the recent reviews on the Park4Night app, we’re at the point where we are concerned to leave the van in a car park, even in the day time, so unless we plan point to point campsites, which we hate doing, it’s kind of impossible for us to visit the places we wanted to. We’ll probably do it another time with more forward planning.
So, anyway, we were back into Spain within a couple of hours this morning. Drove into Ayamonte for lunch, which is just over the border. Tried to find somewhere to park without using data on phones (as it’s running out) turned into a long job. Ended up on some sand again, thinking we might sink!
On through Seville and out the other side. We’re now parked up in Carmona for the second time in about two weeks. 😂
The rain finally stopped for a while so we had a walk up to the town. A few people were dressed up, some with musical instruments – no doubt they’re gearing up for some sort of Saturday night fiesta, but we couldn’t stand the cold long enough to wait around to see.
