A31CC6C7-98CD-47CC-B1B4-DB07DED48E7AMotorway drive back into Spain today notching up a few more €1.75 tolls on the Portuguese side. Still no idea how to pay them – super complicated system. Think we’ll just wait until someone asks for the money! The Norwegian tolls from last Autumn are still coming through by email…months later, and they are supposed to be forward thinking techno wizards.
Straight run on empty(ish) roads until we reached Seville, where there was a bit of a traffic jam. Palm trees all the way through Jerez with more Osborne bulls on the horizon. We’ve landed at El Puerto de Santa Maria just across the water from Cadiz. The campsite is rammed but we’ve got a space in their secure car park with electricity. The carnival starts in Cadiz tomorrow which is why we’ve raced here along with every other white box on wheels within a 200 mile radius.
There’s a beautiful beach across the road complete with palm trees and the town is quite nice too. It was a much longer walk than we thought though – desperately in need of coffee by the time we got there. Saw the bull ring, church and castle, checked out where to get the boat tomorrow, then trekked back along the breezy streets for our dinner.
Lost an hour somewhere…now an hour ahead of UK, causing confusion in my brain, which is why I tried to put the front wheels up on ramps without first taking the handbrake off! Then, sent to plug in electricity with the wrong plug whilst someone stood sniggering in the distance!
I’m now signed off on electricity (just a pass – not a distinction) but apparently, there’s further work to do on ramps! 🙄🙄🙄
